Penka Mincheva

PENKA MINCHEVA

Born in 1979 in Karlovo, Bulgaria. Lives and works in Sofia and Stockholm. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and Studio 44 – Stockholm
She works in installation, video and stamp media. Her practice often explores the common subjects of visual art, such as the concept of the self-portrait.

Education:
She graduated from the Department of Ceramics at the Academy of Arts in Sofia with an MA degree in 2004. She also completed a qualification course in "Advertising Design" at the Academy of Arts in 2001.

She has exhibited and participated in art projects in Bulgaria (Balchik, Sofia, Vidin, Karlovo, Plovdiv, Varna, Rousse etc.) and abroad (Austria, Croatia, Germany, Turkey, USA, Norway, Spain, etc).
